About the project

Project Name: Content Libraries and Editing

Enabling novel reuse of online learning content.

Team: Saksham Agrawal, Braden MacDonald and Gábor Boros

Content Libraries and Editing will enable users of the Open Source Open edX® platform to reuse learning content in novel ways. It will allow the reuse of pieces of learning content in multiple courses, bring its authoring tools up to speed with modern web technologies, and improve portability for online learning content.

Achievements from the first phase of the DAPSI programme

The first phase of the DAPSI program helped us get the new learning content storage system, Blockstore, integrated with the platform, and helped us build the authoring environment for reusable content.

Achievements from the second phase of the DAPSI programme

In the second phase of the DAPSI programme we’ve been able to further refine the authoring tools for reusable learning content and make an advanced editor for problems for use in problem banks and quizzes.

Testimonial

The DAPSI programme has allowed us to accelerate the development of our project and has been helpful in guiding us on how to frame our thinking in terms of value propositions, pitching, and other core business concepts. Their technical workshops have also been quite informative!
